Ebertfest 2016 films revealed

On Wednesday, March 23, the College of Media at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign announced the movies to be showcased at the eighteenth annual edition of Roger Ebert’s Film Festival taking place on April 13-17, 2016:

Tuesday, April 12

Free pre-festival screening hosted by executive producer Stephen Feder

Wednesday, April 13

Key festival guests this year include Guillermo del Toro (CRIMSON PEAK), Paul Weitz (GRANDMA), Michael Polish (NORTHFORK), Kasi Lemmons (EVE’S BAYOU), Paul Cox (FORCE OF DESTINY), Rebecca Parrish (RADICAL GRACE), and Nancy Allen (BLOW OUT).

Roger Ebert’s Film Festival will take place at the Virginia Theatre, 203 W. Park Ave., Champaign, IL. Smile Politely has posted the official “second wave” press release of the schedule. The Ebertfest” Web site also features individual reviews and details of signings and panel discussions. Tickets for individual shows will go on sale Friday, April 1, 2016, while a small number of festival passes are still available.
