Let’s not flake on CUZine #8 … K?
Alrighty, budding movie media mavens of Champaign, Urbana, and the cities beyond, it’s time to resume culture building through the pages of C-U Confidential! Those dearest readers paying attention during the spring season know we had announced CUZine #8 to release last month, coinciding with the New Art Film Festival, Roger Ebert’s Film Festival, and the Boneyard Arts Festival. Sadly, this did not happen for various reasons both old hat and newly aggravating, but we’re attempting to keep it positive and restrict these memories to the recesses of history. We now launch anew the push to publish our ongoing foray in chronicling the C-U film arts lifestyle. As always, your financial assistance is requested!
Do you have a timely advertising message to place in C-U Confidential? Please investigate further at this Page featuring our revised rates, comparable to those offered for CUZine #7 last year, and scroll to the bottom for links to downloadable PDFs you can easily share with colleagues and collaborators. Final deadline to reserve space in the new issue is Friday, June 6, 2014, 5 p.m. We hope to see your offerings collaged with our brand-new content unique to Issue 8 including a Roger Ebert “Image du C-U,” a multi-article spread remembering the late University of Illinois cinema professor Steven P. Hill and eclectic genre filmmaker Curtis Harrington, a “Retro/Perspective” essay revealing your humble editor’s film writing origins, exclusive photographs, current news items, and more!
We’ve admittedly missed a beat, but we’d rather not be off the street for very much longer!
