CMM hosts NAFF reunion Apr. 16
Sometimes, event planning dictates that otherwise worthwhile perks need to be placed on the proverbial shelf due to time constraints. That’s why the team behind the New Art Film Festival is happy beyond compare that Champaign Movie Makers is coming to the rescue tomorrow night, Tuesday, April 16, 7 p.m., at SoDo Theatre, 113 N. Neil St., Champaign! This month’s topic is “NAFF Talkback;” CMM director Thomas Nicol will quiz several of the guiding lights behind pieces that played last Friday at our annual celebration of local and regional filmmaking. If you’d like an intimate opportunity to place faces with projects and glean the behind-the-scenes stories about how they do what they do, this is it! Audience members will be invited to open the meeting with announcements and then, after the talkback concludes, carouse in downtown Champaign during a friendly nightcap!
