April TTC buzzed on ninjas!
The Psychic Joker’s Time Traveling Cinema is back with another program featuring mad, mad movies later tonight, Friday, April 27, starting 10 p.m. at SoDo Theatre, 114 S. Neil St., Champaign, IL, a mere two blocks from Roger Ebert’s Film Festival! Presented by C-U Confidential and Psychic Joker Entertainment, the April TTC is our contribution to the month every year when Champaign-Urbana goes all out to remind our community that artist-citizens flourish right here and now. Therefore, admission is free. We’ll even throw a sci-fi surprise into the mix!
During the first hour, we’ve scheduled three episodes each of the locally made Web series, NINJA THE MISSION FORCE from Dark Maze Studios and UP THE CREEK from Sleepy Creek Films, to help us mark the fifth anniversary of our print companion, C-U Confidential! Then, we revisit that Galaxy Far, Far Away as completely remade by hobbyist filmmakers worldwide in STAR WARS UNCUT, which pieces together hundreds of segments to tell the legendary story of Luke Skywalker. You won’t see this anywhere else in the C-U, folks! Finally, those who attend will be the first to find out when CUZine #6 will street and how we’re going to let everyone know it’s out there!
We hope to see an uptick in attendance starting with this TTC, a community micro-cinema concept set in a clean, safe, and fully-equipped environment. You must join us, for it is your destiny!
