IMAGERY DU C-U | Picturing Our Scene on the Screen

Activity is exploding over at Camp Nostalgic Studios, “The Home of Independent Storytelling,” and what better time is there to feature their upcoming online releases than Independence Day weekend? Dave Rediger, Gela Rediger, and Alex Duquette of CNS go through it all in this update video shared both to YouTube as well as their official website, which organizes everything in bright and bold décor if you’d prefer the non-sterile approach. Over the next several weeks beginning this Saturday, July 6, they will debut new episodes of the skit program “Saturday Morning,” which features Duquette and Dave Rediger as hosts and a revolving cast in comedy segments (such as Randy Phillips and Em Garner, below, in a purported preview for “Chesapeake Valley: Ranger Wives” in the best/worst tradition of reality shows) and commercial spoofs, to be followed later in the day with “Late Night Urge,” a secretive affair that will star Chicago comedienne Ariel Julie (captured candidly, with bubbly). Also coming soon or recently added are new episodes of the animated “Stupie & Fran-Fran,” on-location video of stand-up comedy in “Funny Ass Road Show” (including local talent, like George Cruickshank), and one-off specials such as “Pat’s Spooky Night,” filled to the gills with an all-star CNS roster. An inevitable pairing occurs this season as Camp Nostalgic welcomes Andy and Zoe Due from Rubber Chicken Films into the fold; you’ll see them below in character on “Saturday Morning” and can watch the brand-new Episode 25 of “The Andy Due Show,” which is a cacophony of Anglo and Yankee wartime humor for the occasion, right here. Pip, pip!
