VIEW not for viewing ‘til 2010
Sitting here at the Secret MICRO-FILM Headquarters on a frosty Saturday evening, we felt something a bit amiss. Then, your humble editor’s brain clicked after which he bolted to his feet and exclaimed, “Gee, wasn’t the DVD for A CERTAIN POINT OF VIEW supposed to be available starting this week?” (We have a tendency to become a bit worried, like parents when their children fail to come home on schedule.) A quick Internet peek confirmed that, indeed, CERTAIN will not be arriving for the holidays.
“I’m sorry to have to tell you all this, but the release of A CERTAIN POINT OF VIEW has been delayed until the spring [of] 2010,” says a message from director Derek Klein on the Web site of his prior project, ONE FINE DAY! “Why, you might ask? Well, we’ve had the invitation to take the film through a much more in-depth post [production] process and want to reshoot a few scenes to tighten it up. We appreciate all your patience!” I guess we’ll just have to make do with the trailer we posted a while back.
We’ll also suggest that you watch the “real” CERTAIN page on the Premonition Pictures site for future announcements. Said reshoots could take place here in Illinois, where Klein and company filmed most of the original footage back in March, or far away in California which Premonition now calls home. If it’s the former and opportunity arises, we’ll let you know!
