The Illini Film & Video club at the University of Illinois has announced the dates for this year’s 49-Hour Film Festival and competition – November 5-8, 2010!

At long last, MICRO-FILM Country is allowed to get a little freaky again during the Halloween season when Joe Taylor and Bill Kephart present the first-ever Freeky Creek Short Film Festival this October at Sleepy Creek Vineyards in Fairmount, IL! Do you have a film that’s freeky enough to submit?

The Illinois Film Office has announced its third annual “Shortcuts” film competition and will accept entries until Tuesday, August 31, 2010.

PopTent.net and M&M Mars decided to share the wealth with Joe Taylor of Fairmount, Bill Kephart of Tolono, and Thomas Nicol of Urbana, who won $5,000 for their Snickers spec spot, “Share the Love.”

Once again, Illini Film & Video challenges all comers to take their prompts and shove ’em into the best less-than-five-minute film they can make within 49 hours during the annual 49 Hour Film Competiton at the University of Illinois!
